About the role

The IT Business Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting on all aspects of company financial performance including revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, capital expenditures and performing financial due diligence on acquisition targets.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reporting packages for senior management, including performance dashboards and key operational KPIs.
  • Support operations leadership by analyzing business units, evaluating trends, and performing financial due diligence on initiatives or strategic opportunities.
  • Assist with oversight and execution of operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with developing budgets, forecasts, workforce plans, and operational variance reports required by management.
  • Provide monthly variance analysis for assigned regions, highlighting key drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities impacting operational performance.
  • Partner with Operations leaders and department managers to manage spending, identify problem areas, perform root-cause and gap analyses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with operational performance analysis, including preparing materials for leadership reviews and ensuring financial/operational plans are aligned, structured, and supported by meaningful dashboards and metrics.
  • Conduct ad hoc operational and financial analyses as requested by senior management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience showing increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles, including the ability to quickly identify operational issues and recommend solutions.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; experience in equipment rental, construction, logistics, or related operational industries is a plus.
  • Effective organizational, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to influence without authority.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a bias toward action.
  • Able to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to read and interpret operational documents, including safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to present findings clearly and confidently to Operations leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to calculate and analyze complex financial data (e.g., ROI, CAGR, NPV) and develop operational models that accelerate business insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw accurate conclusions.
  • Ability to work with multiple variables and provide clear recommendations in standardized operational scenarios.

Pay

Salary Range: $69,900.00 – $97,900.00 per year.
