Mission

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions, collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment and integration.

Objectives/Expected Outcomes

• 60% Requirements Definition and Design:
  • Collaborate with business users to elicit requirements
  • Support technical design and development activities
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of technical solutions
  • Ensure technical and process design align
  • Identify and document system architecture
  • Understand third-party package interactions
  • Evaluate alternative designs and make recommendations
  • Prepare technical specifications based on functional specifications
  • Provide design and build impact assessments for upgrades
• 20% Project Management:
  • Manage project plans and resources
  • Provide effort estimates based on business requirements
  • Provide timely status updates
  • Collaborate on patches and fixes for application health
• 20% Application Development and Quality:
  • Perform system testing and user acceptance testing
  • Facilitate extended unit tests and performance tests
  • Assist with functional acceptance testing
  • Resolve defects and provide after-hours support
  • Develop and maintain training materials
  • Contribute to and adhere to development processes
  • Monitor and improve application health
  • Apply quality/process tools and methodologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related business field
• 2+ years progressive experience in Information Technology
• Minimum of 1 year serving as a lead developer
• Minimum of 1 year programming experience in an object-oriented SOA environment
• Minimum of 1 year Microsoft SQL Server development and profiling tools experience
• Experience with system integration across equipment & software environments
• Experience with implementing an MES in Manufacturing Plants
• Experience with project management best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel
