This position is based in Warsaw, Poland, under a Polish employment contract (interim/temporary) with market-rate remuneration. The role supports Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, which assists EU Member States and Schengen-associated countries in managing external borders and combating cross-border crime.
About the role
You will provide IT support to a specific Division or Unit within Frontex, focusing on administration, access management, workflow assistance, end-user testing, data maintenance, and IT-related reporting.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic support in the administration of various IT systems.
- Consolidate access management services for different IT systems.
- Support workflow and tasks by processing and monitoring incoming requests.
- Assist in end-user testing of specific IT systems.
- Maintain data and databases.
- Prepare and follow up on IT-related reports.
Requirements
- Citizenship of a European Union member state.
- Successfully completed secondary education or higher, preferably in IT (university degree in computer science is advantageous).
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in one or more of the following:
- Computer networks and systems.
- Software and communication maintenance.
- Inventory control or warehouse environment maintenance/management.
- Experience assisting users with queries or problems related to PCs, peripherals, networks, and office automation tools (e.g., MS Office).
- Experience diagnosing and resolving incidents and service requests.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Technologies (to be verified at the interview).
Skills
- IT Skills:
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Technologies support.
- Expert knowledge of hardware environments (PCs, printers).
- Very good skills in MS Office software, particularly MS Excel.
- Advantageous: Knowledge and experience working with databases; experience with professional layout tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat Pro) or MS Office Publisher.
- Language Skills:
- Very good command of oral and written English (minimum B2 level).
- Advantageous: Knowledge of an additional EU language.
- Other Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in first-line support.

- Strong clerical skills, including organizational and recording responsibilities.
