IT Asset Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and enforce Legrand’s asset management policies, procedures, standards and controls
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets across Legrand North America (LNA), including hardware, software, and licenses leveraging the ServiceNow (SNow) CMDB
- Proactively track and manage asset lifecycle transitions to minimize procurement and delivery delays
- Harvest/reassign software licenses
- Coordinate with vendors, internal stakeholders and suppliers to obtain quotes, acquire IT assets, services and maintenance
- Create POs and manage invoices in alignment with applicable budgets
- Track deliveries and validation against POs
- Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective purchasing, leveraging economies of scale, where possible
- Manage P-card for expenses that cannot be purchased via PO, including reporting and payments for IT services, peripherals and occasional events support
- Manage and track annual PC refresh budget by Legrand entity
- Manage and track PC, peripheral, network hardware, network/communication services, computer room environmental assets (UPS, rack, etc.) purchases, software licenses and P-card expenses (certs, domain registrations, etc.)
- Quarterly chargebacks for hardware and software purchases to specific business units
- Manage year-end processing (inventory, accruals, carryover)
- Coordinate the deployment, installation, and maintenance of IT assets, including out-of-warranty repairs
- Affirm that all IT assets procured meet Legrand's corporate standards
- Assist with vetting PC issues (performance, faulty parts) to minimize PC replacement costs
- Manage logistics for end user asset deliveries and returns (including remote workers)
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity policies
- Conduct regular reviews to identify and report on breaches of ITAM policy and track remedial action
- Participate in internal and external audits to demonstrate and provide evidence of controls
- Manage the disposal of obsolete or end-of-life IT assets in an environmentally responsible manner, consistent with Legrand policy
- Maintain CMDB in SNow
- Generate reports on asset utilization, compliance, and lifecycle status
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
- Serve as SNow CMDB admin for Americas (AM) Region
- Identify data integrity issues, operational gaps and opportunities for workflow automation
- Aid in testing future releases of SNow
- Collaborate with global, regional and local IT teams, finance, and procurement departments to ensure alignment with business goals and budgets
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise-level IT asset management or a related role
- Experience with leading global/enterprise projects (preferred) and network circuit procurement (a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
- ITIL, Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), Project Management, or similar certifications preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with vendors, stakeholders, and senior leadership
- Solid executive presence, demonstrating professionalism, sound judgment, and poise in high-pressure situations
- Proficient in IT asset management tools and software, with strong attention to detail and data integrity
- Prominent ability to manage budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor relationships
- Responsive, decisive, and effective in problem-solving and decision-making
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware lifecycles, and software licensing models
- May be required to travel on occasion
