Responsibilities
- Lead accessibility compliance efforts across websites, web applications, instructional systems, and other digital platforms; conduct audits, identify barriers, communicate findings, and oversee remediation.
- Serve as the accessibility subject matter expert for web content, documents, and digital tools; coordinate training; and partner with stakeholders to build accessibility into projects and content workflows.
- Implement and maintain accessibility-related procedures, advise faculty and staff on expectations, and update standards and documentation as requirements evolve.
- Maintain records of reviews and remediation activity, track compliance status, and escalate recurring or unresolved issues through appropriate channels.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, web design, communications, education, or related field.
- Experience: Three years of relevant professional experience in digital accessibility, compliance review, web governance, instructional technology, or related areas.
- Knowledge of digital accessibility laws, standards, and regulations, including the ADA and Section 508; skill in evaluating accessibility across websites, documents, and web-based systems; and ability to use tools such as SilkTide, WAVE, or comparable platforms to identify barriers and support remediation.
Prior to Employment
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, web design, communications, education, or related field. Three years of relevant professional experience in digital accessibility, compliance review, web governance, instructional technology, or related areas.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced skill in accessibility testing methods and tools; working knowledge of coding, content standards, and assistive technologies that support accessible digital experiences; ability to translate technical findings into clear guidance; and ability to develop practical, user-centered accessibility solutions.

Compensation and Benefits
- UT market range: MR12
- Anticipated Hiring Range: $65,000 to $75,000
