About the role
This position supports the technical needs of Harbor’s programs, and will assist users with both software and hardware related to those programs. The position is full-time, in-office, and may require occasional weekend work depending on agency needs.
Responsibilities
- Responds to incoming calls, emails, and requests to the help desk.
- Supports staff with desktop, hardware, software, network, phone, and application issues.
- Affords support for the Harbor website.
- Maintains accounts for Mitel phones.
- Assists in maintaining and deploying on-site hardware.
- Troubleshoots issues and keeps staff updated on work order resolutions.
- Trains Harbor staff on general IT items and the use of software and technology used at Harbor.
- Maintains user accounts in Active Directory.
- Understands Harbor's business process workflows and technology/software use.
- Tests updates, customizations, and new releases of software and technology used at Harbor.
- Participates in maintaining the Harbor network structure.
- Assists other team members as needed.
- Stays current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of Associates degree required in computer science or communications, with CompTIA A+ certification or comparable.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Comfortable training staff on technology software or equipment.
- Proficient with Windows operating systems, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Quickly learns protocols, follows directions, maintains confidentiality, and works in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with WordPress/Web Development helpful.
- Capable of multitasking, prioritizing workload, working under stress, and managing time pressure.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving skills, patience, conscientiousness, self-motivation, independence, and strong customer service skills.
- Has a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of personal auto insurance policy.
