ISP Technician II

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic equipment within the remote terminals, central offices CO/HUTs, and data centers.
  • Perform fiber optic testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and manage fiber optic network components.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve network issues.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets.
  • General intermediate computer skills and fast WPM typing.
  • Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or similar technician role.
  • Working knowledge of fiber optic cable systems, equipment, and testing procedures.
  • Proficiency in using fiber optic and ethernet testing equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Primarily independently during the night shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment on occasions.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends is required.
