Responsibilities

• Teach advanced vocabulary strategies, quantitative comparison techniques, and critical reading analysis for the Upper Level ISEE.
• Guide students through complex analogies, multi-step algebraic reasoning, geometric proof-based questions, data interpretation, and timed essay construction.
• Emphasize strategic pacing across test sections and targeting high-difficulty questions for score maximization.
• Adapt instruction using official ERB practice materials, targeted vocabulary study, and progressive difficulty problem sets.
• Identify and address common student challenges, explaining concepts using multiple approaches tailored to individual learning needs.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of ISEE Upper Level sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematics Achievement (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, data analysis, and probability for grades 9–12).
• Ability to explain stanine scoring, percentile interpretation, and essay evaluation criteria for competitive secondary school admissions.
• Familiarity with ISEE Upper Level content and common challenges, including sophisticated vocabulary, abstract quantitative reasoning, and advanced mathematics beyond typical grade-level curriculum.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
