Responsibilities

• Teach advanced ISEE Upper Level sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematics Achievement (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, data analysis, and probability) for students entering grades nine through twelve.
• Explain stanine scoring, percentile interpretation, and essay evaluation criteria for competitive secondary school admissions.
• Teach strategic test-taking and problem-solving techniques, including advanced vocabulary strategies, quantitative comparison, and critical reading analysis.
• Guide students through complex analogies, multi-step algebraic reasoning, geometric proof-based questions, data interpretation, and timed essay construction.
• Emphasize strategic pacing and targeting high-difficulty questions to maximize scores.
• Adapt instruction using official ERB practice materials, targeted vocabulary study, and progressive difficulty problem sets for students in grades seven through eleven.
• Identify and address common student challenges, such as sophisticated vocabulary and abstract quantitative reasoning.
• Use multiple teaching approaches to explain concepts and tailor instruction to individual learning needs and styles.
• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring and accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles and student needs.
