Responsibilities

• Teach advanced ISEE Upper Level sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematics Achievement (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, data analysis, and probability) for students entering grades 9–12.
• Explain stanine scoring, percentile interpretation, and essay evaluation criteria for competitive secondary school admissions.
• Teach strategic test-taking techniques, including advanced vocabulary strategies, quantitative comparison methods, and critical reading analysis.
• Guide students through complex analogies, multi-step algebraic reasoning, geometric proof-based questions, data interpretation, and timed essay construction.
• Emphasize pacing strategies and targeting high-difficulty questions to maximize scores.
• Adapt instruction using official ERB practice materials, targeted vocabulary study, and progressive difficulty problem sets for 7th–11th grade students.
• Identify and address common student challenges, such as sophisticated vocabulary and abstract quantitative reasoning.
• Use multiple teaching approaches to explain concepts and tailor instruction to individual learning styles.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of ISEE Upper Level content and common student challenges.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, adaptive teaching style.
• Familiarity with adaptive instruction methods and curriculum awareness for selective independent secondary school admissions.
