About the role
HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Specialty Mechanical Service Technician II to join their safety-conscious team in Morris, IL.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and secure working environment by complying with company and customer safety standards and legal regulations.
- Promptly addresses any safety concerns.
- Adheres to all company policies and demonstrates commitment to our core values.
- Diagnoses issues with leaking components, reporting findings to supervisory staff and engineering teams.
- Completes leak mitigation tasks, which may include: Identifying situations requiring the use of safety equipment.
- Completes necessary documentation and administrative tasks.
- Works collaboratively with field teams, client representatives, and management.
- Keeps informed about the company’s products and services to better assist customers.
- Based at a branch or on-site location. Involves both indoor and outdoor work in industrial settings.
- Interaction with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Working near production machinery with high noise levels.
- Required to use personal protective equipment.
- Able to adapt to different job sites and weather conditions.
- Travel to various sites may be required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds. Must be physically able to walk, climb, and perform field duties. Effective communication abilities. Good observational skills. Manual dexterity for routine office and field tasks. Able to travel to off-site locations when necessary. Skilled in multitasking and maintaining focus in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial operations or maintenance roles preferred.
- Versatile in handling various tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
- Able to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Familiarity with plant maintenance and repair is beneficial.
- Able to follow supervisors' instructions precisely.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training certification is a plus.
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.

Pay
