IS Production Coordinator - P2

Supports the Project Management Team with technical input regarding resolution of Production changes or Issues. Evaluates escalations from the customer and Project Management team that require technical knowledge of the project. Provides assistance to determine proper parts, documents parts requests, sources parts accurately, and coordinates dispatch to correct locations. Reviews and retrieves the latest revision of project drawings to verify parts requests, coordinates with the Engineering Team, and manages multiple parts orders with suppliers. Maintains accurate records of quantities and updates, and reports on a regular cadence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate action is taken from requests assigned.
  • Complete proper parts identification and ordering.
  • Communicate effectively with Project team members including Engineering, Project Management, and IMS.
  • Maintain a high standard of excellence for quality of work.
  • Set daily goals and ensure follow-through.
  • Resolve issues encountered with engineering tools and resources.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of circuit breakers, transformers, UPS systems, and control systems.
  • Use hand tools and power tools with excellent practical skills.
  • Apply a methodical approach to work and make accurate measurements.
  • Stay committed to industry developments and work to planned deadlines.
  • Work as a team member or alone to complete projects.
  • Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes.
  • Make decisions based on technical documents and E-drawings while adhering to strict guidelines.

Requirements

  • 4 years of technical experience with electrical systems or an electrical certificate.
  • Knowledge of low voltage switchboard/switchgear design, installation, and use.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes governing the installation and use of low voltage switchboards/switchgear.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk suite of Engineering software including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical construction drawings and equipment specifications.
  • Ability to interpret customer specification requirements.
  • Ability to think creatively to find cost-effective solutions without impacting quality, reliability, or maintainability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with proven problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Light Lifting (5 lbs. – 25 lbs.)
  • Medium Lifting (30 lbs. – 45 lbs.)
  • Frequent Standing

Environmental Demands

  • Working around moving machinery (fork-lifts, tractors).
  • Protective Equipment Required (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.).
  • Work outdoors (no effective protection from weather).
  • Travel Time Required: Less than 5% (may require minimal site visits).
