Irrigation Operator
About the role
The position involves operating and maintaining irrigation equipment, harvesting crops on spray irrigation fields, and performing maintenance tasks. Schedules may vary due to harvest season requirements.
Responsibilities
- Harvest the crops on the spray irrigation fields
- Operate the spray irrigation pivots and risers
- Maintain the spray irrigation pivots and risers
- Maintain the spray irrigation fields
- Maintain the equipment needed to harvest the spray irrigation fields
- Willing and able to cross-train in the wastewater department during the off-season or periods of reduced workload
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience
- Knowledge of mechanical and farming operations
- Farming tractor experience
