Irrigation Operation Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Operations Manager to lead, grow, and build an established irrigation department. This is not a maintenance management position. It is an opportunity to take ownership of a business within a business. Requirements

• Extensive experience in irrigation installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.
• Experience growing an irrigation service business or department is highly preferred.
• Experience meeting with customers, preparing proposals, and developing business opportunities.
• Experience managing project scheduling, labor, equipment, materials, and billing.
• Experience with Weathermatic SmartLink or other smart irrigation platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Aspire software is a plus.
• Irrigation certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Department Leadership

• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing irrigation team.
• Build systems, processes, and a culture that supports long-term growth.
• Foster an environment where employees take ownership and deliver exceptional work.

Business Development

• Develop and execute strategies to expand irrigation services.
• Identify opportunities within existing customer accounts and establish new client relationships.
• Meet with customers to diagnose irrigation challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Prepare proposals and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to drive profitable growth.

Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the irrigation department.
• Ensure projects are scheduled efficiently and completed with high quality.
• Manage labor, equipment, materials, project documentation, proposals, and billing.
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement improvements to department performance.

Technology & Process Improvement

• Become proficient with company operating systems and mobile technology.
• Lead the implementation and utilization of smart irrigation platforms.
• Leverage technology to improve customer service, water management, communication, and operational efficiency.
