About the role
The Infrastructure Risk Prevention (IRP) Technician is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical facility and FAB infrastructure systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role serves as a first responder to facility alarms, utility disruptions, equipment failures, and infrastructure issues to ensure safe and continuous manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor FAB infrastructure and facility systems for abnormal conditions.
- Respond to utility outages, equipment failures, leaks, and system alarms.
- Troubleshoot and repair infrastructure and facility systems independently.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical utility systems.
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and Safety teams during incidents.
- Document repairs, incidents, and maintenance activities in tracking systems.
- Support Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities when required.
- Work with piping systems including Stainless Steel, Polypropylene, CPVC, and PVDF.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, LOTO procedures, PPE requirements, and emergency protocols.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience supporting semiconductor facility infrastructure, utilities, or industrial maintenance systems.
- Journeyman Pipefitter, Plumbing License, or equivalent mechanical trades experience preferred.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and utility distribution systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) experience.
- Facilities, utilities, piping, HVAC, water treatment, or industrial maintenance experience.
- Emergency response and incident management experience.
- Experience working in cleanroom environments.
