Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years or more of refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.
• Knowledge of structural iron repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance methods, practices, and procedures.
• Must know how to read and interpret structural drawings.
• Must be able to pass the Craft Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.
• Must have a good understanding of Matrix Service policies and procedures.
• To obtain and maintain an active status within the required drug testing program.
• Subject to random drug screenings.
• Must be able to complete the Matrix Service Safety training and Client / Site specific training.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program.

Qualifications

• Physical Requirements: Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull objects, materials, piping and tools. Employees will be standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting. Employees must be able to hear, speak, understand and communicate effectively. May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. Will work at slight heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work from platforms using the appropriate fall protection requirements. Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind for long periods of time up to 12 hours a day. Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision. Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.

Pay

The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is shown below. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, the actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.

Full range for this position, available overtime: $39.00 hour
