Ironworker Foreman

Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of structural iron, rigging, tools, procedures, safe lifting, and best practices.
- Practical knowledge of structural steel assembly and installation.
- Able to effectively communicate with the rigging team (other riggers and crane operator).
- Familiarity with standard crane hand signals.
- Able to assess weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely.
- Assigns job duties to the crew and ensures proper training.
- Models safety behavior for the team.
- Enforces OPD and client-specific safety policies and procedures.
- Anticipates and reports potential safety and environmental concerns to the OPD Superintendent.
- Provides records of work completed to the OPD Superintendent.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a foreman or supervisor.
- Knowledgeable of crane signals (hand and verbal).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Role model for safety.
- Follows company and industry safety procedures and best work practices.
- Able to wear an approved full-body harness and lanyard for elevated platform work.
- Willing and able to travel for extended periods away from home in remote areas.
- Able to attend and/or lead employee safety meetings.
- Able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
- Able to meet all physical demands of the job.
What will put you ahead
- Experience in a gas plant construction environment.
- At least 5 years of experience as an ironworker foreman.
- At least 5 years of experience as an ironworker.
- Previous experience in leadership roles focused on safety.
- Experience leading small teams of 10-25 people.

Schedule
Shifts and workdays are flexible and depend on project requirements. Extended periods away from home may be required.
