Job Description
Overview
Works with the Radiologists and other personnel to provide diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Special Procedures and other areas within Diagnostic Imaging.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.
SUPERVISES
- Functional supervision may be exercised over cross-training Radiologic Technologists and/or students.
THE IR TECH PER DIEM DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
- MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of JRCERT approval formal program in Radiologic Technology.
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: One year Radiology experience (unless approved by hiring facility leadership team at point of hire).
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Three years special procedures.
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current Certified Radiology Tech (CRT), American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and CPR required.
- PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI), ACLS
