IR/Cath Lab Tech - Per Diem Days

Position Purpose
Responsible for assisting the Physician during procedures, analyzing hemodynamics and EKG, removing sheaths, and using sterile technique to set up the laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility
- Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in accordance with role assignment and department needs
- Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, X-ray, hemodynamic monitoring systems) during procedures
- Prepare contrast media, catheters, wires, and interventional devices
- Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures and report changes promptly
- Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients, physicians, and staff
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Document procedural information accurately in the electronic health record
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care and transport
- Clean, restock, and maintain procedural equipment and inventory
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations following department protocols
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the procedural team
Requirements
- Associate’s degree required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- ARRT and/or RCIS certification required
- Previous IR and Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting required
Per diem requirements: 1 full weekend of call (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) per 6-week schedule, 3 weeknight shifts of call (Monday-Thursday) per 6-week schedule, and 1 holiday per year.
Schedule
Day Shift (7am-5:30pm), per diem.
