IPM Technician I

This role supports the Cultivation department by performing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) tasks, ensuring plant health and compliance with operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all plants and rooms across the assigned facility.
• Complete spray assignments as directed by management.
• Assess and document plant health, pest issues, and cleanliness of grow rooms for daily reports distributed via email and Trulieve SharePoint.
• Collect plant samples to identify pests or plant health issues.
• Collaborate with staff and management to identify problems and develop compliant solutions.
• Research pests and plant health issues to improve management strategies.
• Work independently to inspect all rooms before the light cycle switches off.
• Prepare and deliver verbal presentations for weekly management meetings.
• Clean and maintain equipment necessary for task completion.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or 18 in CT, PA, and WV).
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.
• Must be able to pass respirator fit testing.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and punctuality.
• Cultivation experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection).
• Able to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
• Able to work seated or standing for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and performing repetitive movements.
• Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and elbow movements.
• At times, the entire shift may be spent standing.
• Must have visual acuity (with or without aids) for reading, computer work, and detailed inspections in day, night, or dark conditions.
• Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels in moderate noise environments.
