IP Litigation Associate Attorney (Mid-Level)

About the role

The IP Litigation Practice Group at MoFo is seeking a high-performing attorney with expertise in patent and/or trade secret litigation. The ideal candidate should have an undergraduate degree in hard or life sciences, strong academic credentials in law and undergraduate coursework, a strong work ethic, excellent leadership skills, outstanding research and analytical skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in patent disputes across various industries including tech, life sciences, and consumer products.
• Work closely with judges in high-volume patent venues and explain complex technologies to juries.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different departments and geographies to support professional growth.
• Contribute to pro bono initiatives and mentorship programs to support the development of junior attorneys.

Requirements

• Admission to the state bar where you are practicing.
• Experience in patent and/or trade secret litigation.
• A strong academic background in law and related fields.

Qualifications

• Outstanding research and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Sound legal and business knowledge.

Skills

• Superb knowledge of patent law.
• Experience with judges in high-volume patent venues.
• Ability to explain cutting-edge technologies to juries.

Pay

Salary ranges are stated below and may vary based on location:

• Austin, TX: $225,000 to $390,000
• Boston, MA: $225,000 to $390,000
• Los Angeles, CA: $225,000 to $390,000
• New York, NY: $225,000 to $390,000
• Palo Alto, CA: $225,000 to $390,000
• San Diego, CA: $225,000 to $390,000
• San Francisco, CA: $225,000 to $390,000
• Seattle, WA: $225,000 to $390,000
• Washington, DC: $225,000 to $390,000
