About the Role

Provide individual, family, and group therapy for teens ages 12–17 in our Joint Commission-accredited IOP treatment program. You'll be embedded in the milieu alongside psychiatrists, nurses, and fellow clinicians—not isolated in an office. This is meaningful clinical work with adolescents facing mental health and substance use challenges. You’ll also have opportunities to support clinical groups at our nearby residential treatment centers. This cross-continuum experience will broaden your clinical skills, deepen your understanding of adolescent treatment, and provide exposure to a higher level of care.

Why Join Us

  • IOP treatment is one of the most immersive clinical training grounds for licensed clinicians - diverse caseloads, complex presentations, and daily experience with crisis intervention, family systems, and evidence-based modalities.
  • Build experience across both intensive outpatient and residential levels of care, strengthening your group facilitation, crisis intervention, and clinical assessment skills.
  • Collaborative, team-based environment where you learn alongside experienced clinicians.
  • Mission-driven work helping teens and families through crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly individual, family, and group therapy using DBT, CBT, ACT, and trauma-focused modalities.
  • Spend time in the milieu building rapport, modeling interventions, and shaping treatment in real time.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial and risk assessments to guide treatment planning.
  • Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate in daily and weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Provide crisis support as needed.
  • Facilitate clinical groups at nearby residential treatment centers as needed, gaining experience across levels of care.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Master's or Doctorate in psychology, counseling, social work, or MFT.
  • Active CA license (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, PhD, or PsyD) or Active CA Associate number (AMFT, APCC, ACSW).
  • 2+ years in intensive outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, residential treatment, inpatient behavioral health, or high-acuity settings.
  • Experience with adolescents in mental health or substance use treatment.
  • Strong background in trauma-informed care and evidence-based modalities.

Preferred

  • 3+ years in adolescent residential or psychiatric care.
  • Training in EMDR, relapse prevention, or motivational interviewing.
  • Experience with family systems work and co-occurring disorders.
