Investment Banking Analyst - Technology

About the role

A leading investment banking platform in San Francisco is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join its growing team. The group is recognized as one of the most active technology investment banking platforms in the market, advising high-growth, sponsor-backed, and publicly traded technology companies across a wide range of strategic and financing transactions. The team maintains broad technology coverage with a particular focus on Software, FinTech, Internet & Digital Media, Cybersecurity, Cloud & SaaS, Digital Infrastructure, Semiconductors, Tech-Enabled Services, and other emerging technology sectors.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory assignments
• Build detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
• Conduct industry, company, and market research
• Prepare management presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials
• Coordinate due diligence processes and workstreams with clients and senior bankers
• Participate in client meetings and transaction execution from inception through closing

Qualifications

• 1.5-3 years of investment banking experience
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
• Prior M&A and/or capital markets transaction experience preferred
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Interest in building a long-term career within technology investment banking
