Responsibilities

  • Carry out investigations as directed by the warden and institutional inspector of institutional services.
  • Aid in gathering intelligence and maintaining accurate records to document the activities of individuals suspected or known to pose a threat to the security of the institution.
  • Aid in processing grievances filed by inmates in compliance with all ODRC requirements regarding the inmate grievance system.
  • Aid in providing written decisions to inmate grievances in a confidential, impartial, and effective manner.
  • Aid in training staff and inmates on the inmate grievance system.
  • Conduct scheduled reviews of facility operations and programming, including staff training programs, as directed.
  • Write accurate, timely reports documenting information pertaining to investigations and institutional reviews and distribute as required by institutional procedures.
  • Testify at hearing or in court proceedings, presenting evidence of violations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year investigative or related experience required.
  • A valid driver’s license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
  • The selected candidate must be approved for hire by ODRC and must maintain appropriate facility security clearance.
  • Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year investigative or related experience required.

$70,260.44 Annual Salary
