Investigative Assistant Intern (Unpaid)

About the role

The Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) offers an unpaid internship with the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) for undergraduate and graduate students interested in Criminal Justice. Interns serve as Investigative Assistants, supporting CID detectives and engaging with Arlington County citizens to provide guidance navigating the criminal justice system.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to CID detectives throughout the investigative process.
• Engage with members of the Arlington community to offer guidance on navigating the criminal justice system.
• Work closely with detectives, developing strategies and making recommendations.
• Participate in all phases of investigations and be treated as a colleague.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student.
• Interest in the field of Criminal Justice.
• Motivated and service‑minded.
