About the role
The role of Inventory Specialist at AMO, an Akima company, requires candidates to have a current interim Secret or active Secret clearance and familiarity with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) or similar logistics supply chain software. This position is based at NSWC, Dahlgren, VA.
Responsibilities
- Tag/Record general equipment line items in N-ERP
- Conduct general equipment physical inventories
- Maintain subsidiary accounts for Assets Under Development, Fixed Assets, and Accumulated Depreciation in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP)
- Provide assistance to Tech Departments on general equipment property and N-ERP issues
- Maintain/reconcile general equipment property records and receipts ensuring they are auditable and meet FIAR standards
- Conduct inventory of containers, assist with proper packing, and validate shipping manifests against container contents
- Interface directly with NSWCDD Technical Departments, local government POCs, SMEs, NSWCDD Inventory Specialists and Procurement Analysts, NSWCDD Personal Property Manager (PPM), NSWCDD Organizational Property Administrators (OPA), and the Container Control Officer (CCO)
- Updates standard operating procedures and process guides as needed
- Provides accurate and reliable metrics data affecting financial and operational reporting for leadership
- Completes daily N-ERP transactions accurately to ensure new assets are recorded within required timeline
- Supports Property Management meetings as needed
- Attends local training and knowledge transfer (KT) sessions
- Completes daily N-ERP transactions accurately with no errors to ensure new assets are recorded within 7 days of receipt
- Completes daily N-ERP actions (updates, issue transactions, etc.) accurately with no errors daily
- Completes physical inventories of property in defined timeframes
- Conducts spot check inventories as required
- Conducts stock screening to maintain service level agreement daily
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly Property reports including inventory, property pass, MILSTRIP, Stock Screening, OM&S and GE
- Assists with training technical customers new processes developed for property screening and material management offsite
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen able to pass a government background investigation for a DoD clearance (criminal, financial, and other background checks)
- Associate's degree OR three (3) years or more of work experience
- Experience with inventory management, procurement, or purchasing
- Working experience utilizing N-ERP for inventory control or similar tools
- Ability to work independently across multiple online databases to resolve issues and respond to customer requests
- Detail-oriented and customer-focused team member
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Desired Qualifications
- Current Interim Secret or active Secret preferred
- Three (3) years of related experience in inventory management
- Knowledge and experience with the N-ERP tool
- Experience with creating Unique Material Master (UMM) records in N-ERP
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
