About the role

Hydrolec seeks an Inventory & Procurement Manager to build and scale the inventory and procurement function, turning raw material into a data-driven, scalable operation that production never has to worry about.

Responsibilities

  • Own the ABC model, reorder parameters, and all component purchasing and PO management
  • Manage daily inventory records in MISys and Sage 50
  • Ensure production readiness data is current and accurate at all times
  • Develop and manage vendor scorecards, incoming inspection standards, and supplier relationships
  • Build partnerships with Engineering and Production to improve BOM and work ticket accuracy
  • Supervise the Inventory Supervisor, two Inventory Clerks, and Shipping Team Lead
  • Evaluate and support ERP migration

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of inventory management and/or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience building or significantly improving ABC models, reorder systems, and safety stock frameworks using real data
  • Experience managing a stockroom, warehouse, or production support team
  • Manufacturing ERP/MRP proficiency for inventory control and materials management
  • Experience with inventory valuation reporting and direct collaboration with finance or accounting teams
  • Strong analytical capability; track record of high inventory accuracy, verifiable not just claimed

Skills

  • Hydraulics/pneumatics experience (preferred)
  • Sage 50 & MISys familiarity (preferred)
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification (preferred)
  • ERP migration experience (preferred)
  • Reporting tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI) (preferred)
  • AI-assisted operations exposure (preferred)
