Inventory Managment & Property Control Full Performance

About the Role
Full Performance personnel in Inventory Management and Property Control (IMPC) assist offices with property accountability and auditability as stipulated in Agency regulations. The role involves coordinating with the Senior Logistics Staff Officer or designated representative to ensure inventories and accountability efforts align with Office of Logistics priorities. Responsibilities may include serving as a Responsible Officer if deemed appropriate by the senior Logistics Staff focal point.
Routine tasks such as physical inventorying, organizing records, and interfacing with various individuals require excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate efforts with the appropriate senior Logistics Staff Officer or designated representative to align with Office of Logistics priorities.
- Process routine inventory requests by validating receipt of goods and materials against requirements.
- Update electronic records with the status and location of items.
- Provide work status and accountability updates to appropriate staff and Logistics Staff focal points as required.
- Issue and maintain hand-receipts.
- Process all types of electronic transactions of property/equipment in the Sponsor's system or record.
- Scan/create electronic records to ensure auditable financial statements.
- Assist in the property inventory process, reconcile property discrepancies, and retrieve information from databases to track and inventory items.
- Assist in maintaining tables of vehicular allowances and vehicle tracking databases.
- Assist in maintaining and tracking agency telephones.
- Process requests for vehicles and mileage reports.
- Prepare usage charts for reporting to GSA.
- Distribute parking permits and E-ZPass devices.
- Issue component vehicles for short-term use and track keys.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
- Four (4) years of professional experience in a similar or related field.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certified in the safe operation of forklifts within 30 days of commencing work and every 24 months thereafter (if required based on location).
Skills
- Ability to become familiar with the Sponsor's logistics and financial regulations, policies, and unique authorities.
- Basic knowledge of logistics procedures and policies specific to the area of assignment.
- Basic knowledge of various logistics databases and applications.
- Basic knowledge of how to read and interpret financial statements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in developing professional working relationships within the work unit and with counterparts in other offices.
- Strong customer service skills for effective interaction and problem resolution.
- Adaptability to changing work requirements and priorities.
- Proven use of good judgment and personal initiative in task completion.
- Demonstrated high level of service delivery.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office environment, though conditions may vary. Tasks may require:
- Extensive walking and moving between buildings/offices for inventory/accountability purposes.
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting light to heavy objects.
- Exposure to noise, dust, dirt, or other environmental factors.
Tools and technology used in this role include:
- General office equipment.
- Hand scanning tools for equipment inventories.
- Agency databases for accountability and auditability purposes.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
