Inventory Management & Property Control - Full Performance

About the Role
Inventory Management and Property Control (IMPC) personnel assist offices with property accountability and auditability as stipulated in Agency regulations. The role involves coordinating with Senior Logistics Staff Officers to ensure inventories and accountability efforts align with Office of Logistics priorities. Contractors may conduct inventories independently or as part of a team and may serve as a Responsible Officer if designated by the senior Logistics Staff focal point. The position requires excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for routine physical inventorying, record organization, and interfacing with diverse individuals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Senior Logistics Staff Officers or their representatives to align efforts with Office of Logistics priorities.
- Process routine inventory requests by validating receipt of goods and materials against requirements.
- Update electronic records with the status and location of items.
- Provide work status and accountability updates to appropriate staff and Logistics focal points.
- Issue and maintain hand-receipts.
- Process electronic transactions of property/equipment in the Sponsor’s system of record.
- Scan and create electronic records to support auditable financial statements.
- Assist in property inventory processes, reconcile discrepancies, and retrieve information from databases to track items accurately.
- Maintain tables of vehicular allowances and vehicle tracking databases.
- Assist in tracking agency telephones.
- Process requests for vehicles and mileage reports.
- Prepare usage charts for reporting to GSA.
- Distribute parking permits and E-ZPass devices.
- Issue component vehicles for short-term use and track keys.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph (US Citizenship required).
- Four (4) years of professional experience in a similar or related field.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification in the safe operation of forklifts within 30 days of commencing work and every 24 months thereafter (if applicable based on location).
Skills
- Ability to become familiar with the Sponsor’s logistics, financial regulations, policies, and unique authorities.
- Basic knowledge of logistics procedures and policies specific to the area of assignment.
- Basic knowledge of logistics databases and applications.
- Ability to read and interpret basic financial statements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for composing and delivering clear, concise responses to routine customer inquiries.
- Experience developing professional working relationships within the work unit and with counterparts in other offices.
- Strong customer service skills for effective interaction and problem resolution.
- Adaptability to changing work requirements and priorities.
- Good judgment and initiative in recognizing appropriate actions for task completion.
- Demonstrated high level of service delivery.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office environment, though conditions may vary. Tasks may require extensive walking and moving between buildings/offices for inventory and accountability purposes. Physical demands may include standing, walking, bending, lifting light to heavy objects, and exposure to noise, dust, or dirt.
Tools used: General office equipment, hand scanning tools for equipment inventories.
Technology used: Agency databases for accountability and auditability, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
Pay
US: $45.00 - $51.00 hourly.
