Inventory Manager

About the role

Caron Scientific is seeking an Inventory Manager to lead, manage, and develop a team responsible for receiving, storing, and moving raw materials. The role involves ensuring materials are stocked appropriately to support production schedules, creating and closing ERP work tickets, conducting cycle counts, and managing scrap or defective inventory.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop inventory team members
• Ensure materials are stocked in appropriate work cells to support production schedules
• Create, release, and close ERP work tickets in coordination with production builds
• Utilize ERP modules to conduct cycle counts validating inventory accuracy and identifying discrepancies
• Proactively run reports to identify inventory discrepancies and work with Engineering, Production, and Purchasing to troubleshoot issues
• Oversee the disposition of scrap or defective inventory through ERP system and internal processes
• Maintain clean and safe working environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, processes, and best practices
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, and Oracle; proven track record of utilization and understanding of supply chain modules for day-to-day operations
• Experience with project management software such as Smartsheets, Monday.com or similar platforms is highly desirable
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and maintaining inventory data integrity
• Ability to operate forklift, box trucks, and pallet jacks
• Physically able to lift and move product weighing 50lbs+
