Inventory Management Support B - weekends

Job Description

This is an Inventory Management Support position in support of manufacturing operations. Candidate must be capable of performing all physical or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing, shipping, and/or distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities include many processes such as receiving and inducting parts, maintaining accurate counts of parts through processes such as cycle counts and location audits, picking and delivering parts through a variety of different types of picks, as well as completing work orders for kitted jobs that will run on the factory floor.

There are a number of different jobs that range from picking parts to putting away parts in correct locations; using machinery such as forklifts, waves, pallet jacks and tuggers to move material safely from one place to another. The stockroom is responsible for building jobs by putting parts on machines. When the job is complete, we are responsible for tearing down parts from machines and inducting parts back into stock. The stockroom is also responsible for receiving docks by receiving inventory and directing it to the correct locations. These are a few examples of jobs in the stockroom.

Some positions require constant moving from one area to another to complete workload, but there are other positions that require an operator to stay in the same area for a majority of their shift completing a repetitive task. Potential candidates should have an understanding of these concepts, and feel comfortable that with training they can excel at the job.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant inventory experience
• OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related inventory experience

Preferred Additional Skills

• Previous receiving experience unpacking goods received against purchase orders or invoices
• Ability to maintain accurate records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary
• Previous stockroom, shipping, or warehouse experience including picking, put away, and cycle counting
• Knowledge of order processing to support revenue shipments
• Proficient computer skills, including experience using Oracle EBS, Agile, and Microsoft Office programs
• Multitasking ability to work concurrently between multiple software programs
• Able to operate a forklift upon receipt of internal certification
• Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements
• Ability to stand for 85% of hourly shift (shifts are 9 hours)
• Capable of bending, twisting, and lifting to 50 lbs
• Strong customer focus and communication skills, exhibits strong teamwork and collaboration

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Range: $17.20 - $26.20 per hour (New York State)
• Schedule: 3/12 — Employees work 12 hours per day, 3 days a week
