About the Role

The Inventory Lead supports their Inventory Manager/Supervisor and dispensary staff by supervising and maintaining accurate inventory control measures. This role provides leadership, guidance, and support to team members while fostering a positive, upbeat, and respectful environment. The Inventory Lead ensures physical quantities align with system records and implements best practices for inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Support retail operations by driving inventory accuracy through managing stock levels, variances, storage, menu updates, and consumption.
  • Perform inventory counts, weekly audits, and necessary adjustments to support retail business operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all inventory is secured and stored properly.
  • Participate in the flow of physical stock for order processing and report irregularities to the Inventory Supervisor/Manager.
  • Ensure all menus, digital and physical, are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Provide regular reporting as required by internal operations and state regulations.
  • Stock product on the sales floor and ensure it is ready for purchase.
  • Communicate variance issues or missing information that could impact inventory orders.
  • Hold team members to high standards, ensuring fluid and consistent communication, including both praise and feedback.
  • Maintain store appearance, including restrooms, to ensure a clean, safe, and guest-ready environment.

Requirements

  • Must stay current and adhere to all policies and regulations of the state cannabis agency.
  • Must meet the age requirement as outlined by the state cannabis agency.
  • Able to pass all background checks as required by the state cannabis agency.
  • Able to accommodate scheduling that may include varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in inventory, logistics, and/or a cannabis retail setting.

Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily performed in a dispensary setting, which may be odorous, loud, and subject to fluctuating temperatures.
  • Frequent contact with staff, vendors, customers, law enforcement, and state inspectors.
  • Involves extended computer use and operation of POS systems and office equipment.
  • Requires frequent movement, bending, standing, and walking, as well as lifting and transporting products/totes up to 30 lbs.
