About the Role
The Inventory Coordinator works closely with and under the supervision of the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager to ensure that the entire used car inventory supports the department’s growth-oriented orientation.
Responsibilities
- Management of all pre-owned inventory
- Photographing inventory for marketing online
- Writing vehicle descriptions to promote vehicles online
- Daily review of merchandising standards
- Overseeing all aspects of the internal reconditioning process for vehicles prior to sale
- Work with 3rd party vendors for reconditioning of wheels, glass, leather, and other cosmetic needs
- Prepare wholesale inventory for auction via ACV
- Complete all administration associated with stocking in purchases and trade-ins
- Inspect all incoming vehicles for damage
- Verify equipment on every used car to ensure accuracy of online listings and window stickers
- Assist Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager with merchandising of the inventory on the lot and online
- Complete paperwork required to stock-in used cars for inventory
- Be accountable for the appearance of used cars on the lot
- Move sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order
- Perform other duties as required, at the direction of the Pre-Owned Vehicles Sales Manager
- Enforce safety requirements
- Operate a standard-transmission vehicle and maintain an unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and customers
Physical Requirements
- Will spend four to eight hours per shift moving throughout the dealership, shops, and lot
- Physical activities include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, feeling, shoveling, etc.
- Will work closely with the service department, body shop, and detail shop, exposing you to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other potentially hazardous and nonhazardous materials
Qualifications
- Must have previous, successful customer service experience
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with customers, vendors, co-workers, staff, and management in all departments
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written
- Ability to operate a smartphone, tablet, and/or PC
- Valid in-state driver’s license
Schedule
Full-time hours, 5 days a week. Must have availability during Sales business hours which are Monday - Friday 9AM - 7PM and Saturdays 9AM - 5PM.
