Responsibilities
- Ensures the warehouse operation maintains accurate inventory levels for availability and readiness.
- Audits inventory regularly and provides reports to management.
- Coordinates with buyers to keep up-to-date status of shipments and tracking information.
- Manages all inventory functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, profitability, proper material handling, and minimal damage.
- Utilizes Warehouse Management System (WMS) data to ensure efficient and proper inventory control.
- Researches and identifies quality control issues to minimize recurrence, ensure regulatory compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collects and maintains product volumetric and item attributes.
- Provides analysis and resolutions to management regarding inventory discrepancies or processes.
- Executes reverse logistics for customer returns, ensuring proper and timely execution, including exception management.
- Reviews inbound and outbound exceptions and initiates corrective action, ensuring proper and timely execution.
- Provides timely and accurate responses to internal and external teams regarding required counts, balance on-hand, and analysis.
- Manages system requirements and control desk functions, resolves variances, and performs final reconciliation requirements.
- Conducts cycle counting procedures and works directly with warehouse personnel to uncover variances in actual inventory on hand versus reported inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong math skills and Microsoft Excel abilities.
- Good attention to multiple and complex details.
- Ability to learn and operate Warehouse Management System (WMS) technologies.
- Ability to learn and operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- General computer skills and ability to work with the latest technologies which includes paperless processes for picking/pulling/staging and cross-docking orders and/or receipts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control or related field.
- Prior experience working in a production/goal-oriented environment.
- Prior experience working in distribution.
- Prior experience working in a distribution center.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience working in a retail environment.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare environment.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse management system (WMS).
- Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE): Reach Truck, Order Picker, Powered Pallet-jack, Forklift.
