Inventory Control Coordinator

About the role
As an Inventory Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and releasing materials between intercompany branches to meet customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with shipping/receiving, purchasing, inter-branch warehouses, inside/outside sales, production, and inventory control teams across all branches to minimize customer backorders and maintain target inventory levels (30%)
- Release stock transfer POs between inter-branch and satellite branches as needed to fill orders
- Monitor stock transfer POs daily to ship backorders to our inter-branch customers
- Identify truck space requirements and optimize truck layout for maximum efficiency
- Build weekly truck pick-up schedule (20%)
- Coordinate materials between production and warehouse teams for inter-branch and customer demand; prioritize material needed as demand requirements change (15%)
- Run, maintain, and modify reporting to support branch KPIs and department goals (15%)
- Respond to inter-branch, internal operations department, and outside/inside sales email requests in a timely manner; regular reliable punctual attendance is essential due to limited staffing resources (15%)
- Level load backordered material; run, analyze, and monitor aging backorders (5%)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1 year of experience in inventory control required
- Meets commitments, works independently, accepts ownership of projects and outcomes, takes personal responsibility, and sets objectives/standards

- Ability to make decisions and take action; able to proactively identify problems and implement solutions
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities
- Working knowledge of MRP, SAP, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, queries), and MS Office
Travel
This job may require up to 5% domestic travel.
Work Status & Location
This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Stockton, CA and is not eligible for remote work. Relocation is not available for this position.
Pay
$30.77 - $49.23 / hour
