Inventory Control Coordinator

About the role

The Inventory Control Coordinator at Zimmer Biomet is responsible for managing and communicating field/distributor inventory, ensuring optimal inventory levels, protecting company assets, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Investigates inventory variances and collaborates cross-departmentally to identify and implement solutions.
• Timely researches, disposes of, and reports on disputed inventory issues.
• Reviews and reconciles missing/late inventory reports daily.
• Facilitates the return/exchange of expiry dated/calibrated products between warehouse and field personnel.
• Controls the systematic movement of inventory and ensures data integrity.
• Conducts research as necessary for product recalls.
• Generates regular weekly/monthly reporting and ad-hoc reports.
• Manages all communication and administrative functions related to distributor inventory account terminations.
• Performs various other administrative duties as assigned or requested.
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and follows standard operating procedures.
• Affords assistance with strategic inventory requests and fulfillments.
• Monitors and assists with asset placement and recovery through cross-functional collaboration with sales and operations.
• Manages inventory outflows of loose inventory requests.
• Resolves asset return variances.
• Affords assistance with brand rationalization recovery and disposition efforts.

Requirements

• Computer literate with intermediate to advanced familiarity with MS Excel.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for fostering positive relationships with internal and external personnel.
• Results-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work unsupervised on assigned tasks.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, especially in process improvement and problem-solving.
• Highly developed organizational skills – capable of handling multiple high-priority tasks/projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience, preferably within the medical device industry.
• Experience with Inventory Control practices and data analysis.
• SAP experience and proficiency preferred.
