Hood Container is seeking a data-driven and change-minded Inventory Coordinator for our Walker, MI plant. This role plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting optimal warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all inventory transactions, troubleshoot errors, and identify root causes; supply and implement possible solutions to the Management team.
  • Review all inventory including raw goods, identify errors, and direct/follow up on corrections needed.
  • Support improvements in accuracy and efficiency in all plant-wide inventory processes.
  • Accurately generate required month-end reporting.
  • Manage and direct physical inventories as needed.
  • Ensure all inventory is reported to customers as requested.
  • Review and manage aged and obsolete inventory monthly with scheduler and process disposals.
  • Support Management with all audits.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills, computer literate, and data-driven.
  • Background in quality and inventory roles.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Work overtime and odd shifts as necessary to meet production requirements.
  • Ability to write, audit, and evaluate procedures and inventory systems for compliance standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain hi-lo certification.
