About the role

We are seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator based in Thomasville, GA. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role manages raw materials purchases and inventories, reconciles cycle counts of finished goods, and participates in physical inventory activities.

Responsibilities

  • Administrate inventory cycle counts (daily/monthly/annually) and enter adjustments into the system
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for inventory control processes
  • Receive and issue finished goods into an inventory control database
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel using inventory movement reports in JDE, actual receipts, physical counts, and shipping packing slips
  • Utilize documentation to facilitate the cycle count process

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Participate in physical inventory activities, including creating cycle counts in JDE, communicating details with the shipping department, and processing inventory adjustments
  • Administrate plant raw materials end-of-month physical inventory, including performing cycle counts for reconciling variances in raw materials weekly as part of month-end reporting in JDE

Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel using inventory movement reports in JDE, actual receipts, physical counts, and shipping packing slips
  • Utilize daily and monthly cycle count documentation to facilitate ongoing cycle count processes

Within 12 months, you’ll:

  • Manage raw material additives and resin purchases and inventories, serving as the main point of contact for all material stock items
  • Schedule deliveries for raw material purchases and ensure a readily available supply of materials to meet production needs
  • Coordinate vendor communication regarding raw material deliveries
  • Analyze inventory data to ensure the plant does not run out of raw materials and levels meet production demand
  • Reconcile all daily and weekly cycle counts of finished goods based on final determinations, including approved variances within percentage and dollar maximums

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of inventory control experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or supply chain management preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory control software (e.g., JDE, Sage) required
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Good understanding of basic math for quick and accurate counting and calculations
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization

Pay

As of the date of this posting, the pay range for this position is $42,480 - $58,410. Placement in the range depends on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business needs. Other compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and incentives.
