About the Role

Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Read master schedule, work orders, pick lists, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Process material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Make new bin boxes and labels as needed.
  • Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated room.
  • Fill work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Kit up materials and loose parts as required by project.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Review consumables and inform Stores Lead when materials run low.
  • Inform Stores Lead whenever materials run close to expiration.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for easy future retrieval.
  • Use computer to enter records. Input pick list worksheets into system so that inventory is adjusted properly and shortages are effectively identified and tracked.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • This position may require driving a company vehicle and will require a clean driving record.
  • As a pre-employment contingency, present a valid Washington State Driver’s license and provide a current driving record from the state of Washington’s Motor Vehicles office documenting your driving record status within the past three years.
  • Position may require periodic screening of your driving record.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 2-3 years related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must demonstrate concern and take actions to meet requirements and high standards of quality for both internal and external customers.
  • Must display courtesy and sensitivity, manage difficult situations, meet commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
