Inventory Clerk I

About the Role

Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures
• Receive and enter verification data for inventory
• Unpack and perform quality and quantity checks on manufacturer products
• Store and log material within a storage facility using a forklift truck, hoist, or other material handling equipment
• Perform cycle/inventory counts of product inventory
• Properly label product locations
• Adjust inventory in database, if applicable/as requested
• Maintain various files and records
• Drive vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites
• Load delivery vehicles ensuring all items and supplies are properly secured
• Maintain warehouse facilities to keep them orderly, clean, and safe
• Respond to staff inquiries regarding the status of deliveries
• Use appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift, cart) to safely move/lift items
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of verifiable logistics experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to leverage available resources to accomplish objectives
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in material management
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods
• Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices
• Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee, and reach above/below shoulders
• May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances
• Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth
