About the role
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for inventory process control and resolution to support Eaton's objectives of on-time delivery of quality products. This role supports and initiates actions with management to ensure compliance with company policies and performance/productivity levels. Key responsibilities include supporting production readiness, auditing material movements, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating across teams to address material and inventory issues.
Responsibilities
- Support and initiate actions with management to ensure personnel comply with company policies and performance/productivity levels.
- Systematically inspect materials to ensure accurate order fulfillment and production readiness.
- Review production schedules and generate pick lists for Material Handlers.
- Audit material movement and prior day stow activity to monitor productivity and ensure SAP accuracy.
- Perform cycle counts, identify discrepancies between physical inventory and SAP, and drive resolution.
- Research lost or misplaced material by reviewing SAP transaction history and correcting bin allocations and errors.
- Maintain and update inventory records within MRP systems.
- Develop, document, and improve inventory management procedures.
- Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks as required.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of experience in inventory control.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Forklift experience preferred.
Skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results, and drive change through others.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
