Interventional Vascular Technologist

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Vascular Surgeons and an experienced interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care during minimally invasive vascular procedures.
- Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after exams.
- Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects.
- Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information.
- Maintain equipment, systems, clean equipment, and monitor timely repair.
- Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing.
- Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
Qualifications
- One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
- Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography: R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiology: R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT).
- Prior CT (Computed Tomography) experience.
- Comfortable interpreting cross-sectional anatomy during procedures.

Schedule
M-F | varying shifts | shared on-call rotation required, including approximately one primary call shift and one secondary call shift per week, with weekend call approximately every sixth weekend.
Pay
Minimum hourly: $34.50
Maximum hourly: $51.00
