About the role

Performs complex diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures under the direction of a radiologist, utilizing fluoroscopy and advanced imaging equipment to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures patient safety and procedural excellence by maintaining a sterile field, administering contrast agents as directed, participating in procedural time-outs, and monitoring patient condition throughout care.
  • Produces high-quality diagnostic images through proper patient positioning, equipment operation, radiation safety practices, and adherence to imaging quality standards.
  • Collaborates effectively with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintains operational efficiency through accurate EMR/PACS documentation, equipment care, inventory management, supply monitoring, and compliance with infection control and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Interventional Radiology

  • Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages and Current PACS applications
  • Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education
  • Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures
  • Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff
  • Organizational skills

Qualifications

  • High School Grad or Equiv
  • Associate's Degree in Radiology [Preferred]
