About the role
Performs complex diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures under the direction of a radiologist, utilizing fluoroscopy and advanced imaging equipment to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Ensures patient safety and procedural excellence by maintaining a sterile field, administering contrast agents as directed, participating in procedural time-outs, and monitoring patient condition throughout care.
- Produces high-quality diagnostic images through proper patient positioning, equipment operation, radiation safety practices, and adherence to imaging quality standards.
- Collaborates effectively with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintains operational efficiency through accurate EMR/PACS documentation, equipment care, inventory management, supply monitoring, and compliance with infection control and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Knowledge of fluoroscopic equipment
- Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Interventional Radiology
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of diverse backgrounds
- Independent judgment
- Ingenuity and initiative
- Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages and Current PACS applications
- Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education
- Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures
- Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff
- Organizational skills

- Ability to read/comprehend and follow verbal instructions

Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv
- Associate's Degree in Radiology [Preferred]
