Interventional Radiology Technologist

About the role

This position assists the radiologist with invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, which utilize advanced radiographic imaging equipment. The responsibilities include the administration of ionizing radiation to patients of all ages for diagnostic and/or research purposes, providing patient services, and performing radiographic procedures, including all aspects of fluoroscopic and digital imaging data acquisition and processing. The individual scrubs in to assist with catheter and guide wire manipulation and assists with providing optimal patient care utilizing established and accepted techniques.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to patients of all ages for diagnostic and/or research purposes
• Provide patient services
• Perform radiographic procedures, including all aspects of fluoroscopic and digital imaging data acquisition and processing
• Assist with catheter and guide wire manipulation
• Provide optimal patient care utilizing established and accepted techniques

Requirements

• Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) radiography program
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists at time of hire
• West Current license issued by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRTB)

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to interact with patients in a way that is effective and appropriate to the age of the involved patient population (ages 0 to death)
