About the role
Join Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital’s team of caregivers that provide top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Port St. Lucie. Opening its doors in 2013 and expanding in 2017, this state-of-the-art acute care facility has 177 patient rooms and offers services in a wide variety of specialties to meet community needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties involved with various technical procedures to detect pathology.
- Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive and special procedures.
- Improve patient care and workflows by providing support, education and assistance to patients and caregivers.
- Safely operate equipment and maintain standards while performing procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean and economical operation.
- Clock in and out for on-call requirements.
- Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, patient information, networking and informatics.
- Document in chart upon completion of procedures.
- Complete and send electronic data.
- Provide copies of imaging studies.
- Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation and contact service if necessary.
- Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered through the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)
- Florida license as a General Radiographer (RAD)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications
- Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Neuro experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
- Requires sitting at a workstation or desk; requires standing; work may include occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Work requires finger dexterity and eye hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.
- Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests and to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team; ability to ensure operational efficiency; ability to problem solve and make decisions; ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
- Special Demands: Needs minimal sustained direction in assessing needs, carrying out departmental and professional responsibilities; self-starting and self-motivating; working hours may exceed eight (8) hours per day and is based on what is needed to accomplish work at hand.
