Interventional Radiology Tech II – Special Procedures
About the Position
Harris Health System is actively seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologic Technologist II to join the Radiology Special Procedures team at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. In this role, you will deliver patient-centered care and apply advanced technical skills in the operation of Interventional Radiology (IR) equipment for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
This position also provides an opportunity to act as a resource and mentor to entry-level IR Technologists and students. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to high-quality patient care and the overall success of the radiology department.

Requirements
- Education & Licensure:
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Valid MRT license from the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology
- Certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (ARRT-VI) preferred
- Current CPR certification from AHA or ARC
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
- Proficient in use of IR equipment, PACS, RIS, and related clinical tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with medical terminology, computer systems, and clinical documentation tools
- Work Schedule:
- Flexible shifts, with availability for weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation as needed
