Special Procedures Technologist - Interventional Radiology
About the role
As Special Procedures Technologist, you are responsible for assisting physicians in the Radiology Department by performing special procedures. Responsibilities
- Perform exams as directed by radiologist to ensure appropriate views of anatomy are taken that will facilitate an accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures including pulse assessment and sterile field preparation.
- Maintain adequate level of supplies.
- Comply with all Radiology Information System and PACS entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, tracking monitors.
- Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, co-workers and self by using appropriate radiation and bloodborne pathogen precautions.
- Assist and support the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect. Provides supervision and feedback to students as they perform procedures. Reviews images with students on request and provides quarterly evaluations of students to clinical instructions for formal reviews.
- Attend continuing education programs and complete mandatory training to maintain licensure, position specific ongoing competencies and professional growth.
Requirements
- Successful completion of approved School of Radiologic Technology Program
- Licence as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Certification through ARRT in Cardiovascular Technology within two years of hire
- Three years of experience as a Diagnostic Technologist or one year experience in special procedures
Qualifications

- Licence as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

- Three years of experience as a Diagnostic Technologist or one year experience in special procedures

Pay
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $34.50 Maximum hourly: $51.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
Schedule
A caregiver who excels in this role works days from 7:00AM — 5:30PM.
