Internship - Sales Summer 2027

About the role

HNI is seeking Sales Interns to join their Sales Development team in Muscatine, IA during Summer 2027. The internship offers hands-on experience in a professional sales organization, with opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Work on high-impact projects supporting business growth
• Create presentations, sales collateral, customer proposals, and other materials
• Analyze sales and customer data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
• Partner with Sales Development Associates and sales leaders to learn account management and relationship-building strategies
• Gain exposure to CRM tools such as Salesforce
• Present project findings and recommendations to team members and business leaders

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field
• Rising junior or senior preferred
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in sales, business development, or account management
• Minimum 3.5 GPA preferred
• Previous internship, work experience, leadership involvement, sales competitions, student organizations, or other relevant experiences preferred

• Self-starter with high personal motivation and desire to take initiative and ownership
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong experience managing projects (school or work related)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
