About the role
The Internship Program & Engagement Manager at Crystal Bridges & The Momentary is responsible for the overall success of the internship program. This role involves recruiting and engaging industry partners, managing the program delivery, and ensuring a positive experience for interns.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with individuals, industries, organizations, colleges, and other community organizations with the primary goal of internship placement
- Partner with the field experts / department leadership to develop relevant internship framework and curriculum
- Works with department leaders and community partners to provide a welcoming and engaging internship experience for each intern
- Evaluate industry and community satisfaction with internship program
- Effectively handle diverse interpersonal and inter-group relationships
- Actively participate in industry and community organizations
- Partner directly with the local schools, colleges & universities to manage and execute all aspects of the internship program
- Organize and implement intern orientations, workshops & culminations
- Maintain frequent and effective communication with interns and department leaders
- Develop a framework and timeline to build and launch the program
- Manage the planning and implementing strategic goals & operating plans for continued growth
- Oversee daily activities and responsibilities for the intern programs
- Develop and conduct training for participating supervisors
- Program Administration
- Ensure internship program complies with all rules and procedures required by law, as well as meets organizational compliance requirements
- Oversee and manage intern timekeeping in Workday
- Keep detailed records and reports on the results of the intern program
- Collect and analyze internship data for internal and external use
- Deliver accurate and timely data and reports
- Prepare reports / presentation on the contributions of each internship cohort
- Communicate pertinent information to all stakeholders in a timely fashion by email, telephone and in person
- Planning, Design and Budgets
- Responsible for overall program plan, design, delivery and evaluation
- Develop and implement program improvements
- Accountable for overall plan success including evaluation and budget process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 5 - 7 years of experience with internship programs in an arts-related institution
- 5 – 7 years of experience coordinating, developing and implementing a program or initiative (ideally related to internships, job preparedness or mentoring of high school, university and/or technical school students)
- A strong desire for supporting and empowering interns
- Able to understand and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
- Able to quickly build rapport and foster relationships
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to work proactively in a team environment, collaborating across all departments
- Able to interact seamlessly with all levels of the organization from volunteers to executives, including the Board of Directors
- Able to work under pressure, meet competing deadlines and positively adapt to change
- Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
