About the role

The International Student Services Coordinator/DSO is responsible for providing comprehensive support to international students, ensuring compliance with immigration regulations, and fostering a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the enrollment process for international students, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and submitted on time.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to international students regarding academic, cultural, and personal issues.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations, including maintaining accurate records and reporting required data to relevant authorities.
  • Collaborate with campus departments to address student needs and concerns.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the integration and success of international students at the institution.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, international studies, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with international students or similar roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in English and fluency in another language commonly spoken by international students.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of immigration policies and procedures relevant to international students.
  • Experience with student information systems and databases.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

$50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule
